Let us pray to our Lord for our love life to be brought under the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Cross, as it enters the love life, will reveal the heart’s truth. Let the Cross of Christ be between us. More than our feelings, let us seek His will and wait upon the Lord. Let us lift our hearts to God and give our emotions to Him because if we merely rely on ourselves to keep our emotions, it will not last and even if it will, it will be stained with our own sinful nature. However, if we trust Him and give Him everything that we hold in our hearts, the LORD will make our hearts pure and our love will abide in Him - centered upon Him and sanctified by the power of His Spirit. Then, in His perfect season, we will receive with both hands the love perfected and made holy by the Hand of our dear LORD.

World’s Most Beautiful Abandoned Places

Italian product manager and web designer Francesco Mugnai recently added a collection of images to his blog touting some of the most beautiful images of abandoned spots and modern ruins that he’d ever seen. The images Mugnai has captured come from empty castles, shuttered power plants, and dilapidated churches around the world. From a sunken yacht in Antarctica to a forever-closed amusement park in Japan, these images all make up a sort of anti-phoenix; rather than rising as new from the ashes, these husks remain preserved in decomposition, forcing viewers to confront the strange beauty of ruination.

A Lesson About Waiting

I believe that my impatience with God’s timing is because I undervalue God in my heart. I lack faith in His sovereignty. I don’t see Him as worth waiting for compared to my own immediate desires and gratifications. It hurts to wait on God sometimes, but it can hurt even more when we take the step to believe that our own independence would satisfy and be enough to carry us to our destination. Let’s make God our ultimate source of satisfaction. Let’s make Him the greatest treasure in our hearts. Then we realize how great His plans are for us and how they are SO worthy to wait for.

Many environmentalists are focusing on different problems and posing practical solutions we can do to help. But we can never do anything on our own. Man’s efforts to save the earth is still under God’s wisdom and authority. God possesses the heavens and the earth. By man’s sins, pollution was conceived and our sinful actions gravely affected nature. Nature is God’s picture book for man, much like the picture books we give to children who are not yet able to read. The pictures tell the same story the Bible tells with words. Like the Bible, fallen men cannot and will not grasp the meaning and the message God communicates to them. The teaching from nature, like that of the Bible, is turned upside-down and inside-out, to man’s condemnation.

Man has been given charge of nature as a stewardship. As such, we will give account to God for the way we manage this responsibility.In whatever time remains for this creation and for our bodies, let us practice wise stewardship. Our relationship with God should be reflected in our treatment of His creation.
